👋🏽Hey, I'm Val! I’m a somatic trauma practitioner and fellow cycle breaker with CPTSD and ADHD, with a social work background, who specializes in complex trauma & neurodivergent-focused healing.

My goal here is to help break through the stigmas around trauma, neurodivergence, mental health, and cultivate an accessible community for people like us who are easily distracted, overthink everything, always feel a little anxious, overwhelmed, overstimulated, and hate peopling, yet really hate trying to heal solo!

Everything shared is focused on liberation, equity, and being neurodivergent affirming. Colonization, capitalism, patriarchy, and religion create trauma. You can’t heal individual trauma without addressing the role systemic oppression plays.

  • No, it’s not a substitute for therapy, prescribed medications, or necessary medical treatment. It’s a great addition to your current care or next step if you’ve completed care.

  • Absolutely. This space welcomes individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and lived experiences. I’m also a part of the community 🌈

  • All of the live events are hosted through a private YouTube link, only accessible by community members. You’ll get an alert when lives are scheduled and about to start.

  • Q&As and live practices will be between 45 - 60 minutes on average. Workshops will be between 1 ½ - 2 hours. We may go over because you know we like to talk about everything and get sidetracked 🤣 but if we do, you’re not obligated to stick around.

  • Yep! All the live practices, Q&As, and workshops will be recorded and uploaded into the community within 24-48 hours.

  • Hell no! You can join live or watch replays of all live workshops, practices, and Q&As in the Collections hub on demand anytime.

  • Participate as much or as little as you want. You can be as active as time, or your comfort level allows.

  • No, you do not have to come on camera, and you don’t even have to attend live to get your questions answered. You can submit questions ahead of time via DM through the Scape Goat community chat and I’ll answer them anonymously. Note: Generally, we’ll only have time for 2-3 questions, so I’ll try to prioritize answering questions from members who’ve never submitted 1st or ones I think will be most beneficial for the community. I may post quick responses in the chat at my discretion.

  • Memberships are charged on the same date you signed up every month.

  • You can cancel at any time, but you’ll only retain access to the membership for the remainder of your billing cycle. I.E. If you can cancel on December 20th and your membership typically renews on the 9th, you’d have up till January 8th to use it. Visit Patreon for more details.
