Community Agreement

When we enter a community, we make an unwritten agreement. This community is meant to be a space of healing, growth, and connection. By joining this community, you enter into an agreement based on these principles and rules:

Relationships are Primary

  • We are here to support ourselves and each other without judgment but with accountability. If harm is done, the focus is on repair. Take accountability for your actions and words.

  • If one member is struggling, we are here to step up and help. That means asking for what you need and supporting fellow members in the way they ask to be supported.

  • Engage respectfully, honor people's pronouns, lived experiences, emotional labor, and boundaries. You are not obligated to educate other members on your lived experience, culture, identity, etc., and they are not obligated to educate you on theirs. If you or anyone else chooses to share, honor that information.

  • Keep community members' information and experiences confidential.

  • We consider impacts on all our relationships: human, non-human, land, and future generations.

  • We are building reciprocal relationships rather than transactional exchanges.

  • We are breaking cycles for ourselves, each other, future generations, and our global community.

Cultural Knowledge

  • Traditional knowledge is protected with appropriate protocols. Cultural practices and wisdom are shared and utilized only with permission, and credit must be given where appropriate.

  • We do not commodify sacred practices or Indigenous teachings. Cultural safety is centered.

Community Support

  • Any/all community support staff and I are available for questions. Technical support questions should be directed to Patreon Help Center

  • Access to all resources provided by the community will be appropriately removed/added after membership cancellation, downgrade, or upgrade.

  • A 30-day notice of changes to any memberships or format of the community will be given unless there are extenuating circumstances that prevent this.

  • Clear communication about updates will be provided.

Our Responsibilities to You

  • Maintain an accountable and supportive community space.

  • Protect community members' information, cultural traditions, and practices.

  • Support member journeys.

  • Honor members' lived experiences and identities.

  • Listen to community feedback, experiences, and take accountability for any harm done, regardless of intention.

  • Support community wellbeing and provide conflict resolution if needed.

When the Community Needs Restoration Conflict Resolution

  • Direct dialogue is encouraged, but the needs/desires of those harmed will be respected.

  • Restorative justice is centered.

  • Clear steps for addressing harm, taking accountability, and repairing harm will be given or facilitated by community support staff.

Account Suspension & Removal

  • A warning will be given before any account is removed if a member causes harm to another community member, leader, or staff, unless the violation goes beyond what is considered safe, ethical, or impossible to repair. Hate speech, violence, or other forms of oppression will not be tolerated. Intentional harassment or discrimination will result in an immediate ban and membership removal.

  • If a member is unwilling to take accountability, repair harm, or has violated any of the safety agreements, they will be immediately banned and have their membership terminated.

  • If a member distributes or misuses the content, cultural practices, or information of any community members, creators, or community staff without expressed, written permission, they will be banned immediately. Their membership will be terminated, and potential legal action may be taken for any damages.
